After a very cold night of sleeping under the stars, the pilgrims awake to the sounds of the choir of the Seminary of the Good Shepherd, leading the pilgrims in Morning prayer.

{mosimage}After pilgrims joined the Holy Father in prayer and Adoration at the evening vigil last night, adoration tents around the Randwick precinct were packed with pilgrims continuing their prayer and receiving confession, which was available in many languages.

{mosimage}7pm - The Evening Vigil commences with Sydney Youth Ballet carrying lamps and performing a liturgical dance. The entry of the light reminds us of the Christian call to worship.

Gary Pinto performs 'Behold The Cross' as the WYD Cross & Icon is carried onto the sanctuary and put into position. Just as the young people made their pilgrimage to Randwick today, the presence of the Cross and Icon highlight the culmination of the journey is here.

{mosimage}There were tears and laughter at one catechesis session for WYD pilgrims at the Love and Life Site at Broadway in inner Sydney today.

Bishop Pepe from Las Vegas spoke on various aspects of the Catholic faith including Baptism, Confession and especially the Holy Eucharist. Pilgrims were especially moved when he spoke of a time when he was called to the hospital for a little new born baby girl.
