Croatia are the champions of the first ever PAPAL PLATE World Youth Day Soccer Tournament after defeating Australia in the inaugural Grand Final at Sydney University No.1 Oval on the Thursday of WYD week.

Just moments before the Pontiff is set to leave Australia, at Sydney International Airport, Australian Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, has announced that Australia has appointed a new Vatican ambassador - Tim Fischer. 

9. 53am Now after shaking hands with cardinals and bishops, including Bishop Anthony Fisher O.P., Benedict XVI mounts the stairs and enters the Qantas plane, to head back to Rome.
